Windshield wiper systems for high-performance cars
Assuming that a windshield wiper system encompasses several of design issues, including kinematics, aerodynamics, and, of course, cleansing functionality, in the case of high-performance cars some additional caveats must be added.

An already complex system that in the case of high-performance cars poses additional challenges.
Various phenomena attributable to aerodynamic turbulence at high speed have a greater impact, worsening the quality of cleansing or even canceling its effect. Therefore, proper design should take into account phenomena such as chattering, brush lifting, or drive motor overheating.
In addition to the environmental difficulties, there are construction and homologation difficulties, especially with reference to compliance with ECE/USA cleansing area regulations, the need to achieve parallelism in brush cleansing, reaching the windshield sensor area, and the necessary sags to be sized appropriately for pedestrian impacts.
All these challenges are met and overcome by fielding different types of wipers: single-arm, tandem, pantograph or butterfly.
In addition to this, solutions including aerodynamic profiles at the edge of the arm or washing systems integrated into the brush itself can be designed.
