Feasibility of style
It is a key phase in which to guide the Style department until technological feasibility and compliance with internal, ergonomics and homologation regulations is achieved.
The challenge always: to create something that is both beautiful and achievable at an acceptable cost.
Investigate new solutions and methods that enable the execution of innovative and never-before realized style patterns. It is essential to make parametric CAD models that can be updated promptly according to the designer's new definitions. Define archetypes that will be used as a reference by designers in the subsequent stages of development.
With the intention of verifying that technical solutions are aligned with the production costs and weights envisioned in the setup phase, assisting the Purchasing Department in identifying the best suppliers.
Take a proactive approach, to point out potential critical technological issues while cooperating by proposing alternative design solutions with the goal of making the style idea fully feasible and producible. In this iterative process, the senior designer's experience and familiarity with regulations will play a critically important role, because it will allow him or her to draw on a broad set of possible technical solutions, to be appropriately declined according to the specific needs of each individual project.
